Neptune heralds Christmas?

A trip into Liverpool this evening and I spotted the 'Christmas lights' up at Albert Dock. Neptune was guarding the entrance on one side and a Mermaid on the other. There were lots of lit up Liverpbirds too. Well that's a new slant on Christmas - or maybe there's more to come.
