Watching, waiting...

We spotted this male sparrowhawk perched in our apple tree this morning. He went away empty-handed and it left the garden eerily empty of birds for a good while. Not the best photo, but he was hidden so well amongst the branches, the camouflage of his feathers was amazing, if you didn't know he was there he would have been difficult to see.
