Virtual Reality

Today, I had a second translation exam, this time from English into French, which is considerably harder than French to English, but I think it went okay. In the evening, A few of the English boys and our local friends went into downtown Saint-Denis to do a virtual reality escape room! This including the virtual reality headsets which are incredibly realistic and make you feel as if you're really there! We were tasked with solving puzzles to escape from an ancient Egyptian pyramid - similar to an Indiana Jones film. Myself and my partner Tiphaine completed it in 40 minutes and set a new record for the place! Our friends Rob and Malika, on the other hand, took an hour and 15 minutes, and also set a record for the slowest time they've ever seen.

In other news, I ate a kangaroo steak for dinner. It was like beef but a bit less nice - so a bit disappointing, but I can now say I've tried it! I also ate some freshly picked Lychees today which are delicious! Much better than the rubbish ones you can buy in England.

Excitingly, I'm hiking up the volcano tomorrow! Even though it has stopped erupting (for the moment!) It'll still be very impressive!
