The Crucible

What a horrible day!! Didn't venture out much, too wet and miserable,
Nipped up to see my mum and took this picture of the Inverkip Church - looks very eerie!! In reminds of the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller which I did for my higher English all those years ago!! It was about the Salem witch trials that took place in Massachusetts Bay I think in 1690 or something. Seemingly witch mania was rife in Inverkip in 1640's - 90's, witches being burnt at the stake! And I thought Inverkip was a lovely peaceful wee village!!!
