Wet

Up for bacon rolls and tea whilst we decided what to do for the day. Headed downtown and went for a mooch around John Lewis for a change, looking at fabric for window seat and blind etc as well as (K&S) testing out new fragrances. We then met up with V who’s been poorly and not eaten much all week, but we were all soon tucking into lovely spread of meze dishes and chatting about refurbs, grandchildren, illnesses and other such. As we ate, the drizzle worsened and it was soon pouring and miserable so after nipping in to get new water glasses in TKMaxx we came straight home...dark just after 3pm, yuk!
With a pot of tea on the go I settled down to surf for new bed linen as I think I’m fed up with everything being white now the bedrooms are all pale grey and white. Took ages but eventually found some bold coloured interesting sets, whilst K did the crosswords and S helped her daughter draft a cv....interesting mix of comments and questions flying around between us as we worked at the kitchen table on these different thing...’what do you call a two masted ship?’, ‘is this pattern too busy?’, ‘what’s the current minimum wage?’.
Segued into prosecco and dips before starting to consider where to hang my pictures....this may take a while!....and unpack more lamps to make sitting room a bit cosier, then we watched Strictly and started on the Crown series 3 as S knitted socks. Relaxed day
