The Poetry of Ice

Dear Diary,

We dodged another bullet last night.  The snow storm that was predicted was mainly a rain and ice event with little accumulation and no power outages.  Hooray!  Although ice can be very dangerous it can also be quite beautiful as well.  This undulating formation seemed almost poetic to me, curving along a bit of open water. A little opening looked a bit like a small heart.  Most of it will melt later today as our temperatures rise.  More rain on Wednesday but Thanksgiving day looks good.  A far cry from last year when we were buried under a blanket of snow.  I'll take it!
