But I had to really. Some other flats - seen from the walk down from Jesmond Dene to the Quayside in Newcastle. You can follow a route down the Ouseburn Valley through various inter-connected parks (Armstrong and Heaton, as well as the Dene) and it's quite a pleasant stroll - particularly if you've got time to kill before picking up your daughter for the weekend and two dogs to entertain (not to mention quite a grumpy son - even though he got a call on the way up to offer him the job he'd been interviewed for yesterday.) We sat outside the Baltic and ate sandwiches (the rain just about held off) and then strolled back up and set off, fully loaded, for the coast...
