Hole in the ground.

Actually was 5 holes in the ground!
A surprise early morning visit from Yorkshire Water, or rather the utilities company who carry out work for them.
Reminds me of the song by Bernard Cribbins.

For the last three years we have been told by different people, that we may have a leak.
Today these guys were determined to find it.
After digging 3 holes in the garden, one where we park the car, and one in the road, they decided the easiest thing to do was to replace the whole pipe.
So now we have the water back on, and the holes all filled in. They look OK at the moment, just hope they don’t sink.
The rain is washing away the mud!
