Albatross
John and I caught the bus down the road to the beach town of Bucerias, and spent the day sitting under a palapa avoiding the sun, eating seafood and drinking beer. We shopped the market, and found John a fabulous cheesy hat (to be featured later!).
To get back to La Cruz we decided to walk along the beach, since it was only a couple of miles along the curve of the bay. We watched Mexican fisherman had pull in a net full of fish. There were many unhappy fully inflated pufferfish that the guys threw back, some rays, and other non-edible fish caught in the nets, and the scene attracted a flock of seabirds. I think the bird in the foreground is an albatross, the bird behind is a brown booby.
