Kaiwi Walk

The 4-mile Kaiwi Race/Walk took place this morning, from Sandy Beach on the coast highway towards Maunalua Bay.   The start is at sunrise.   In its 7th year, the shirts this year were a beautiful turquoise blue.  It is put on by Hui Nalu Canoe Club.  Traffic is stopped from the start thru to Hanauma Bay and contra flowed beyond.    2211 people took part - some raced, some walked, some strolled.   Dogs on leashes were allowed, strollers and wheelchairs, too.   Weather was forecast to be windy with  scattered showers - so used my cell phone for photos.   It read "low battery" at about mile 2.5, even tho I started fully charged.   Missed having my camera.  Had a liedown when we got home  . . . .  z z z zzzzz
