Larch
For a brief moment drabness retreated by caused by the appearance of a golden globe in the sky. Not for long, drabness regrouped and we were assaulted by by heavy rain as we completed our walk which continued for the rest of the daylight hours.
The rain was hammering down when we passed this colourful larch on Bearsted Green, which provided a bit of relief and today’s blip.
Susan was with her mum most of the afternoon as she tried out some new aids to help her around the house. From what I gathered it was not proving easy to persuade her to accept the equipment.
I went along to Doreen’s toreplace blown bulbs. This is a regular occurrence. There were two outside lights and a floor light that have all blown recently. As usual, each bulb was different but we managed to find two of the three we needed.
From there I posted cards and stuff for California and New Zealand. Something’s wrong, I’m ahead of myself! Then onto a glaziers to get some replacement greenhouse glass and some glass to put on top of a rattan table to stop drinks wobbling and falling over. Tasks that have been on the “to do” list for years.
