Wood on Wednesday...Autumn Leaves

I saw these giant leaves in the forest a while back, and had to pick them up. THEY ARE HUGE! The project is almost two feet long, so each leaf was about 12 inches across.

What I liked the most? Putting the intricate little details into the wood, and how the natural knots of the woods fit in.

What I didn't like? When it was finished, I set it aside for the stain to try. Five minutes later, I got off my stool, and knocked it to the ground. (You can see the crack on the right hand side of the piece.) Oops.
