Choices

I’m not surprised so many people don’t go through the hassle of registering to vote. Although we are already registered we have had enough trouble to make sure our voice is heard - not that it will count as the Tory has a big enough majority.

Because we’ll be away on polling day, we filled in the form for a postal vote. Then it occurred to me to check the ballot papers would be released in time for us. The woman on the phone said they were going out on 2 December so we’d need a proxy vote. She assured us our postal vote would be cancelled. More forms to fill in for the proxy vote but in due course the paperwork came through. However they’d put the wrong address of my friend so another phone call ensued. The woman said it wouldn’t matter.

Now today this arrived - a postal ballot paper which she said we’d not get having now got the proxy. More phone calls. She says to use the proxy one.
