The unexpected

One of the great things about what will shortly be nine years of daily blipping is that moment when you see something utterly unexpected and just know it is going to be your photograph of the day.

This platform at Waverley station can be seen from Waverley Bridge but is behind a wall between two buildings.  I must have passed the spot dozens of times and always been looking elsewhere.

It is a bit down at heel but its  quirky symmetry and it’s framing are , well, unexpected!
