Greedy gannets....

Well, seagulls actually. Muscling in on the poor ducks' dindins. We're about 25 miles in land and I've not seen so many seagulls around for a goodly while. Me thinks the reports are right and there be bad weather a blowin' in... Big(ish) snow forecast. That's fine but I must get to a rural appointment with the lovely ladies at the WI tomorrow eve.

This blip was going to be a perty view of the river and old bridge, but then obligingly, a little family came to feed the ducks and 4 cygnets... And the 'gannets'. There's a very pretty 'different' duck in the pic too. Very dark, green head.

Off to google 'types of ducks'.
