Dog days

Well, not here, with our snow and all. Maybe somewhere in Australia or South America, maybe.

Finally getting around to sifting through ~200Gb of RAW files from the X100 that I could do with turning into usable shots. It's funny tracking my nephew from 6 months up to 2 years as I go through them - he seems to change a lot, yet always look kind of the same.

Took a break to knock up Maman Blanc's Apple Tart this evening and despite a fair amount of oh well's and really's, it's ended up pretty tasty and wasn't a great deal of hassle to put together. More for tomorrow too.

Returning to last night's viewing - Margin Call. Definitely a good portrayal of tension around the beginnings of the financial crisis* and the folk/circumstances that caused it, or at least accelerated it. I wonder what someone with a more acute knowledge/experience of the real life event would make of it. One thing that cannot be argued with is that Jeremy Irons absolutely steals the show with his first scene - chilling, to the core.
