Foggy day in Nelson
We went to Nelson today, as I had a couple of appointments and the boys had gift vouchers that they had received at Christmas, and wanted to spend. On the way into Nelson, we stopped and watched this huge 'Holcim Cement' ship leaving Port Nelson. Here it is going through the 'Cut' out to the Tasman Sea. It was a very gloomy day in Nelson, something you don't see often in the middle of summer.
After we did everything in Nelson, we went out to Richmond, did some more shopping in the Mall, and then popped around to my Mum and Dad's for afternoon tea. While we were there, it absolutely poured down - just what the area needs as it is very dry. We arrived home at 6pm, to a dry Murchison - for once.
Just for interest, since the beginning of January, we have had 114 mls of rain. That is a huge amount of rain for this time of the year. Lets hope the East Coast of the country get some - we've had our fair share.
