Tomte

The little Christmas gnome sits on the kitchen window ledge. He is guarding the old coffee jar and the wine glass spider plant.

Tomte is a mythological creature from Nordic folklore. Today it is associated with the winter solstice and the Christmas season.

Tomte is the Swedish name. In Danish or Norwegian it is called a Nisse.

My little gnome thinks he is a good contender for Admirers Silly Saturday Challenge, although he isn't at all silly.
