Advent Calendar

I had a special advent calendar for my birthday , given to me by my granddaughter and her parents.

It is a "Beauty" advent calendar and each day I will get a gift from L'Occitane en Provence.

The calendar itself is in the form of a book and tells the story of the almond tree. In the 1950's almond trees had completely disappeared from the Provence landscape. In 2000 L'Occitane, with the help of their producers, reintroduced almond trees back into the Provencal hills. Today the landscape is full of almond trees.

Last year I was given a Prosecco Advent Calendar. No prizes for guessing which one Ian preferred.
