Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2019 Thursday — Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving celebration was a surprise. We had planned to either be at our place on California’s Central Coast or to drive to our granddaughter Desiree’s home in San Diego because her husband, who is in the U.S. Navy, is out to sea from November 18 to December 18.

Our granddaughter in San Diego told us she had several invitations for the day and our other granddaughter asked us very seriously to stay in Corona to celebrate with the family at her Dad’s house (he is our former son-in-law and like a son to us).

There were no less than 21 people at the Thanksgiving meal and it was delicious. Everyone brought part of the meal and our son-in-law had a roasted turkey and a Honey-Baked ham, and our grandson-in-law, Robert, had prepared a smoked Turkey. I’m not sure that I have ever had a tastier Thanksgiving meal.

I think this is the headcount:
John (our former son-in-law)
Emerson (John's son/our grandson)
Ashly, Robert and Little RJ
Bonnie &  Rollie (John’s parents)
Russ & Terri (John’s siste r& adult kids ),  Danielle,  Jennifer & Fiancé
Bob & Trina,  Michael & Fiancé (Robert’s parents & younger brother )
Mr. Fun & Rosie
and 3 guests who I did not know

It was a very good day!
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
