Back in time ...

When we visited the wonderful Seamus Heaney Exhbition on our recent trip to Dublin, I oculd understand why we hadn't looked at his poems in school - afterall we studied Ted Hughes whom he was pictured with and other modern Irish poets (WB Yates, Louis MacNiece. 

T kindly searched through boxes in the garage for my poetry books and find it - whereupon I realised why we had not studied Seumus Heaney. Our excursions into modern poetry finished in 1965 (which is fair enough I supposes as this was the 70s) and Seumus Heaney published his first colelction on 1965. 

This all serves to make me feel old, which was reinforced today through visit a solicitor to discuss wills followed by completing my pension application form.
