Blasta ....

.... or at least I hope it will be !   Blasta being the gaelic for tasty, one of the many words I am learning in Scots Gaelic Duolingo. I'm beginning to get the hang of how it works. Its an interesting insight into on-line learning apps.  

 Having been freed from the 9 to 5 and beyond, I have enjoyed experimenting with soup making.  This is my second venture into French Onion soup making which was inspired by some rather tasty soup my sister made when I visited her recently.  I have done the softing and carmelisation in a pot but am experimenting with completing process in slow cooker. I will find out later this evening how this approach turns out.
