On the A66
A trouble free journey from a Peterborough to Glenridding which is all you can ask and expect nowadays.
An hour or so north of Peterborough the skies cleared and we were treated to unbroken winter sunshine for the remainder of the journey.
The views from the A66 of the Pennines and west towards the Lakes were spectacular. Unfortunately, there were few places to stop where the views were not obstructed. This is about the best near Stainmore Summit.
