If He Knows You Have A Pocket Full!

So today China and I started our training. It is a positive reinforcement technique based on clicker training. The long term aim is for China to find me and my clicker a safe and fun place to be, even when I am asking him to leave other horses.

We concentrated on the very basic techniques today, getting him to touch a target on a stick for the reward of food and a click whilst also trying to teach him to unlearn his bad habit of trying to ‘mug’ you for food if he knows you have a pocket full!
