Gales

We have the most hideous horrendous gales this afternoon, but thankfully this evening they have moderated, still very windy though. Others here

A full on day - today is the last day to get mail to Australia delivered before Christmas, I did have most of Lexi's Christmas goodies sorted, but needed something else.  Did the wrapping early, everything wrapped separately, cards done, something small for Lexi's Mum and Dad.  Shot off to the shops (Christmas paper, cellotape and scissors in the car if needed).  I  knew what I was wanting, she adores dressing up and I found her the most gorgeous flouncy girly fairy dress (with wings that attach to the wrists) and some jewellery to match.....can't wait for the Christmas Day Facetime.  

I was just home, when Doug's sister and her daughter arrived (expected)  for lunch. A leisurely lunch and afternoon to catch up with them.  She had very recently lost her husband.
Then they had to drive to Dunedin, didn't envy them one bit driving in the gale conditions.
