Sodium Snow

Travelling home by the back road I really wanted to capture the beauty of the countryside carpeted in new thick flaky snow. However the light was going fast.

Belhevie Kirkyard looked gorgeous but I duffed the images due to low light and shaky iPhone ruining any chance of a passable blip. One for later...

I arrived home and found the trees laden with snow and reflecting the warm orange glow from the sodium street lamps. Against the cobalt sky it looked interesting.

Sodium, Cobalt and Frozen Water - a nice combination for any chemist to enjoy, especially as I'm reading a great book on Elemental Tales just now!

Here's hoping I can get some snowscapes soon.
