BLUE WREN ...
... silhouette in the fiery sunset!
Another day of severe conditions with the fires and today our lot was to have the smoke. We have been lucky this week with not a lot but today it was thick as!
The late sky just on sundown found the Blue Wren on the fence, quite effective I thought. You get the idea of just how much smoke in the air.
Apparently Tuesday we are in for temps up over 40 degC and hi winds so anything could happen!
To help the fire fighters there has been 40 plus fire fighters from the US and Canada arrive along with the New Zealand support,
Have a good weekend, and have a look in LARGE, and check out the little Fairywren here on Flickr watching out for fun!
Sorry have been on about the fires etc, but just want to in some small way, let the World know just how brilliant the men and women out there fighting the conditions have been. And in the case of the Rural Fire Service troops, the fact they do it out of their own motivation and commitment, along with their employers (if they are working) allowing them the time to do it, well done to all.
