A Festival of Trees
Dear Diary,
We got a bit more snow last night, just a soft fluffy inch or so, but it didn't stop Rebecca and I from heading to Saco to see the Festival of Trees. This year's theme was "Christmas Around the World". This was the 15th year they held the event but the first time I've gone. It was well worth it. The trees were beautifully decorated and some were quite unique like this one which was designed like a ball gown. We then went to South Berwick to see the "Home for the Holidays" open house at the Sarah Orne Jewett house. She wrote wonderful stories about Maine in the late 19th century, Country of the Pointed Fir being my favorite. A slow ride home in the snow. "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!" Off to Boston this morning for more Christmas festivities!
