Standing Guard

Dear Diary,

I have been able to restore most of my laptop myself much to my amazement.  I will need to take it to get a new battery but it is functioning for now.  Matt came and cleared the snow and Chris my plow guy came too.  Unfortunately, it looks like power won't be restored until late tomorrow night.  John will come this morning and we will add oil to the generator which has been running non-stop for 36 hours.  The model is called the Guardian, very appropriate I think.  I am so lucky to have it.
