A rainy mild start to the day. My hosts have a house beside The Thames where it is easy to step over it. In drier times it disappears completely underground.
The board meeting went very well and a significant number of our company were able to join us for an excellent Christmas lunch and catchup in a prestigious Cotswold hostelry. In the late afternoon I took another train to Cheltenham. (I took this curious sign on the platform!) where I was met by our daughter and her two sons. We drove home to their house and I was in charge of the youngest as his mother and brother were out at a sports social. His father was supervising a similar Christmas social in a nearby county.
