Beside the seaside

Stayed in a hostel near the airport last night and had the whole place to myself, no owner or warden, just me, myself and I. In the morning someone arrived at 6am to make me an unexpected breakfast of just about everything they imagine a westerner might like. Lettuce, tomato, toast, salami, hotdog, scrambled eggs and chips! A coffee would have been the thing but anyway headed off to the airport and then there was Leila, as if by magic, here in Thailand. Made our way to the coach/ferry trip headed for Ko Tao. The weather seemed to get breezier by the minute and with it the swell on the sea. Three hours into the ferry journey and most passengers, including myself, had lost the will to live and were clutching sick bags for dear life. Some people stumbled/fell towards the toilets never to be seen again. Leila, however, slept through pretty much the entire thing only waking occasionally to chuckle at the state of affairs. After another hour we finally arrived on land and were taken to the hotel but the floor just wouldn’t stay still, filling out the booking form was quite a challenge.
We are in a beautiful place, our door is about 8ft from the sea in a quiet little cove looking west.
Both being a tad weary from travelling, for one reason or another, it has been an early dinner and it is now 8pm and Leila is already fast asleep. Hopefully we should both wake up feeling refreshed and if not the sea is right there, should do the trick.
