A Favourite River View....

A gloriously sunny day for our early walk. This is one of my favourite riverside views. The yellow flowers growing alongside the water are Monkey Musk.... very pretty. Once home and regular routines completed, son Duncan and continued with the big garden clean-ups we started last night. We eventually had the trailer piled high with green waste. This afternoon we heard news of a volcanic eruption on White Island, about 50 kms off the coast of Bay of Plenty in the North Island. There were 50 or so tourists visiting the Island. Half have been rescued but many remain unaccounted for. A terrible tragedy unfolding. We are thinking of all those folk affected by this display of nature’s fury.
