Freewheeling
On the cycling club's annual Christmas dinner run. Half way round the ride we all stop at the beginning of a gently descending lane and have the freewheeling competition. How far can you get without peddling. It is usually a measure of who is the heaviest but the tandems don't necessarily win. A colour alternative as the extra.
Eventful as always - a broken collarbone, two buckled wheels from a pothole in the dark coming home. And I lost my Rapha wool scarf.
A thoroughly enjoyable day.
