On The Shelf
This morning I wrapped presents and wrote most of my Christmas cards. This afternoon I awarded myself time off for good behaviour and we went to our local Visitor Centre/Craft Courtyard to see if they had anything in the way of likely presents. I still have a few to buy.
Most of the craft workshops were closed, the only place open was the showroom. I fell in love with a little wooden table with wonky legs in there. But I don't need a table, haven't got room for a table, and I was supposed to be looking for presents for other people. Maybe TM would like a table?? Maybe not.
The Visitor Centre doesn't appear to be putting much effort into the retail side of Christmas this year. There were plenty of elves, but not much else. So I took a picture for Mono Monday (theme 'presents and shopping', well I was trying), bought a couple of cards, and then we retired to the Birdhouse Cafe for a festive chocolate brownie (that's an ordinary brownie tied up with white chocolate 'string' icing and a little bow.
It was very good, and I ate it watching a flock of long-tailed tits on their peanut feeder. That was enough excitement for today, back to the cards now ...
