Pig and Sty

The Pig and Sty only opened this September. Previously, the building had originally been a pub for decades then variously a Chinese and Indian restaurant.

It is part of a Kentish chain of restaurant which have made a business of taking over and restoring former or run down pubs and restaurants in the county.

They’ve done a good job on this place. A pleasant environment and good food and some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had outside of a fish and chip restaurant. And 25% off on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We took Doreen out for lunch after her visit to hospital for a hearing test and new hearing aids. Something much needed. And also after being in respite care while we were away.

We were back into caring responsibilities with a bang today, following up on a host of things that need to be done. Why is nothing simple, straightforward or happens first time? Just one example; we’ve needed 4 visits to the bank to sort out problems with power of attorney. And we still don’t think it’s sorted.
