…& ignorance" - one of my preferred techniques. Two hours before I took this you could have pushed your finger through the side of this old Höfner 12-string.

I cut off the bits of plywood which got in the way with a scalpel  & got a long piece a 12mm dowel & felt around through the sound hole. I groped around until I could feel where tp push & shoved & shoved & all of a sudden it all came flush.

Drowned the result in superglue - filed & sanded it all smooth & lashed on the varnish.

You can barely see the hole - such a smartarse :o)
