Cash ‘n’ Carry

I keep thinking he looks like a bank robber making a quick getaway, but it’s only Santa depositing his tips between shifts.

I put up the outdoor lights today, taking advantage of the nice weather. We always decorate the little pear tree in the front yard, a Charlie Brown thing if there ever was one, misshapen by years of trimming for blight. But it is a brave little thing and I love tarting it up for a couple weeks of the year. I’ve started on the indoor tree too, but it takes me awhile to fondle everything and hang it up right. Every year I think I won’t bother, but Mr S reminds me of how much I enjoy having a tree, and he’s right, I would miss it. It smells really good.
