Shop local... I said

This Christmas, I thought I would shop local, support the small businesses.. then I remembered I have a full time job and two children, which made my good intentions just that, good intentions.  

The Christmas cavalry has been called in, Amazon are profiting, and yes, I feel very guilty, but we do stand a chance of having Christmas actually happen. 

Work Christmas 'do' this evening, small quiet meal out, which was lovely.  The proper one is this Friday, I've decided not to go, for various reasons, but would rather have the night at home, given how much we have to do.   However, this evening was really lovely, Granny baby-sat and I had a really nice meal with some lovely people.  

Husband is still out, he was supposed to be in London at a carol service (one I've been to for the past 15 years aside when out of the country), then drinks with really good old mates. Except he had to stay late at work and took the decision that it would end up a very long way to go for a drink  Shame,  he needs to see his friends, but I know the work has been mounting up, so he'll feel better.
