Book Club Christmas

Hard to believe it’s time for the annual book club Christmas party photo!   This year we are sadly missing another spouse and we’ve started at 4:00 PM (a proper old person time?) and there are ever more stories about retirement homes or not, but also many laughs (some because of the retirement home stories!) and of course great food (I made Jonsson’s temptation,,potatoes baked with onions, anchovies and cream to go with perfect salmon, salad, quiche, and lots of appetizers and desserts.)   And of course the fun book exchange game where a book can change hands 3 times before it’s frozen.   
    

Every year I say I”m going to buy an external speed lite flash for these indoor groups…and I have an online course about how to use them well, .but alas, another year has gone by without having done a thing about it, hence some reflections.  So here we are,  except for one couple who are away looking at wolves in Yellowstone (envious!)   Just older.  Happy Holidays.
