Alive?

A creeping rosemary in my front yard. I have four or 5 of them. It's taken about 5 years to get to this size. I don't remember them ever looking quite so completely brown before. If you look very close you might see a bit of green. And, yes, the white stuff is snow. Still. I guess I should know in a few weeks if they are dead or sleeping. The plants in the background are a heather and a dwarf rock rose.

I shot into the sun on purpose -- the sun flare looked interesting through the lens. I was glad to see it came through on the picture too.
