Lonely beginnings. . .
Koh Samet is Koh Samet - according to the expat crowd of Bangkok: and it's worth the scrabbling around, internet hours, taxi-bus confusion, and endless replanning.
Arriving feels like the beginning of it all: white sand, trees on the beach, orchids, swings, hammocks, sun and turquoise water. . . This will be amazing.
It's lovely to see Katy H again, and amazing to come across her on the side of a busy road in central Bangkok 3 years after she left Congo.
It's a couple place though. Ulrich still lost in deepest darkest - our year out limply born. He's organising mass distributions: I'm dabbling my toes in the crystal water between massages, beginning to get how this not working thing works. . .
