Half sunk, a shattered visage lies. . .

1984's got nothing on this one.

He peers from every wall, and every corner of each tower. Inescapable. But so kindly. Allegedly. Its a bit like the churches at Lalibella: the temples are amazing, but you can't quite help thinking about the slaves who built them. . .

We arrive en famille and are wisked around by an ever bubbling tour guide. It simplifies many discussions. Dad's mournful comment about traveling en masse is that other people have different ideas about what to do next. In our family, occassionally fairly strong ones. . .
