Fotografiska New York

It just opened yesterday, so I dashed over today. The main picture is the view from the sixth-floor event room — it doesn’t bear comparison to the view from the original Fotografiska in Stockholm, but then very little does. The extras, in order, are 1) another corner of the sixth floor, 2) the children’s room, 3) the all-genders bathroom, and 4) the ground-floor cafe. The opening photo exhibits were mostly not great (the exception being the environmentally aware photographs by a woman named Helene Schmitz), but the restaurant, which will open at the end of December, looks promising.
