Nine Days Till Christmas

Today the walking group parked at the Camphill Road Carpark, and walked from there to Lake Hawea, where we had a lovely lunch at a local cafe.  (Blip)  We walked by still waters (Extra 1).  On the way home we paused at 11 minutes past 2 to remember the families and those people who lost their lives when the White Island erupted at this time last week.  (Extra 2)  The 3rd extra is of us passing an irrigation pond on the way back to the cars.

The walk was about 12 k's all up, or 17,000 steps.  Quite enough walking for one day.  It was very hot +17C, but felt more like +25C.
