Twins or Triplets?

Amy and Dave set off on their long journey from the Lakes  back to their home in Yeovil this morning.  I walked up onto Hampsfell to enjoy the sunshine and the distant views of the snowy mountains.  There is a fair amount of snow on the Coniston range but obviously a considerable depth on the Helvellyn range.  Further east the slopes of Whernside and Ingleborough were also well covered.  While I was on the ridge I could hear the sound of young voices singing carols wafting up from Cartmel where, I guess, the primary school children were practising for a Christmas concert.

On Hampsfell the sheep are now clearly in lamb and some are swelling considerably perhaps awaiting multiple births.
