Reindeer and rain

For BobsBlips Wide Wednesday Christmas theme - this is one of the many Christmassy displays to be found around Bournemouth.

Last year the Winter Tree Wonderland had a remarkable success and brought in the visitors. This year the Wonderland has been resurrected with a few additions, and is well worth a visit once it’s dark.

The council has also made improvements throughout the year, including further pedestrianising of a main shopping street. And this handsome deer has pride of place there.

Lovely and sunny. But yellow weather warnings galore, from this afternoon through to Saturday, for rain, wind (and we will just miss the fog). We are on high ground, so flooding not an issue, but the wind will be howling up here. Rivers around here are already full, and there is (some) flooding in fields, so there may well be a few problems for people in the vicinity.

Off to meet a friend for a coffee at my favourite vegan. Perhaps* (*no doubt) I’ll be tempted by their (light) lunch menu. Hope not to get drenched on the return - fortunately bus almost door-to-door.
