Duck and Waffle

We met Charlotte and James at the Duck and Waffle on Bishopsgate. Mum was slightly alarmed to be shooting up to the 40th floor. I was soaking up the views across London on the way up. Long Pornstars were an excellent choice of Christmas Cocktail. Mum had a G and T.
C and J chose the signature dish of Duck leg on a waffle with a perfectly poached egg and maple syrup to drizzle. I had Lamb kofte and mum chose Mushroom risotto. The vista was 360 degree and I enjoyed taking some shots, see extra.
After lunch we headed to the Apollo theatre to see Wicked. I really enjoyed it and can’t say I was familiar with the music. I shall have more sympathy for the Witch in the old version of the Wizard of Oz next time I see it!
We ended up having a potter round Carnaby Street and Liberty. There was some alcohol and hot drink consumption happening along the way too.
It’s amazing what you can do when your initial plans are cancelled.
