Oliver and Victoria
An Addenbrookes hospital appointment for my husband at lunchtime and then we had to collect his new prescription. There was an hour’s wait, but when we went back after an hour, there was another twenty minutes spent waiting in the queue only to be told, they did not have this medication. They had ordered it and it might be there tomorrow, or Monday or Tuesday!!! Gone are the days when you got a printed prescription to take to your own pharmacy. I did ask for one and was told it was “not the Trust’s policy to provide printed prescriptions”. I have to telephone in the morning to see if it is there and then go and get it. I do not moan about Addenbrookes, but the pharmacy is diabolical. They seem to think you can “pop back” the next day; there were three other people in the queue whose medication was not available.
We missed the train by thirty seconds, it then started to rain and my husband’s legs were not working very well. My daughter was just about to leave her office nearby so I asked her if she could collect us from the Park and Ride which she did. The Park and Ride bus had gone so we had a taxi, which was £10, just for a short distance.
It is our grandson’s birthday today, so our daughter took us to our home and I collected his presents, then we went to her home, which is where today’s picture was taken. Oliver hates his picture being taken and the extra shows the lengths he will go to, to avoid the camera. The main picture is of him with his sister, looking at her computer game. Our daughter then brought us home.
The temperature at GMT noon today was twelve degrees Celsius. It did not feel that warm, as there was a chilly wind and quite a lot of rain.
