A very mild, bright day ..... good for being out and about, walking dogs and watching the birds.

Only four cygnets on the pond in Queens Park this morning. The adult swans and one cygnet were nowhere to be seen so there was no chance of a blip of seven swans a-swimming.

After taking the dogs home I went up to the supermarket for a bag a small onions a cauliflower ..... £1 for the onions and 29p for the cauliflower .... not often that I spend so little!

I nipped along to the Heritage Park hoping to see the lapwings .... no luck today but there were plenty of magpies and jackdaws in the trees and wandering about on the grass looking for crumbs.
