Redwings

After the arrival of the fieldfares a couple of days ago, today ten redwings arrived, albeit in a different neighbouring tree. As silver birch do not have berries, they flew the short distance to the further neighbour to feed on a large cotoneaster. Again, a full zoom through double glazing against the light.

After lunch we went to Shawfair to see the plans for a proposed flyover at the Sheriffhall roundabout and to quiz the various representatives and have a glossy brochure to study before submitting any comments.

Then this evening we were back at church to sing the carol service, which went very well, though I could not resist singing the descant for the last item, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, just (only just...) within my range.
